Course Features:

This defensive driving class was designed with knowledge and understanding of the needs of drivers “for hire“. Particular emphasis is placed on avoiding distracted driving. The class features short chapters, engaging animations and graphics, and multiple-choice quizzes for review; all designed to help you learn and remember the material and to satisfy the defensive driving training requirements of taxicab, commuter van, paratransit and for-hire drivers.

Course Objective:

To instill into students that defensive driving is a way of driving your vehicle that helps you avoid collisions and accidents regardless of the conditions and/or the actions of drivers around you. To educate individuals about how defensive driving goes beyond the laws of the road. To explain the laws of physics as they apply to moving vehicles and help individuals analyze their driving choices and the consequences of those choices. To nurture a peace of mind that allows you to be much more likely to be able to prevent motor vehicle accidents, even those that wouldn't have been your fault.
